Barth Daylilies are the result of the longest continual daylily breeding program in the United States. Begun in 1952 by Dr. Joseph Barth in Alna, Maine; the line continues with the work of his son, Nicholas Barth.

Joseph was a pioneer in breeding Tetraploid Daylilies; resulting in high-quality blooms on multi- branched scapes.
